Undertaking marine transportation to and from a world-class copper smelter
Nippon Marine's Saganoseki Branch handles the transportation of copper products and byproducts from, and auxiliary raw materials to, the Saganoseki Smelter and Refinery in Oita Prefecture in Kyushu of Nikko Smelting & Refining Co., Ltd., one of the world's leading producers of copper products. In addition, the Branch also handles the transportation for recycling of materials produced as byproducts of copper smelting. The Branch plays an important role in transportation operations for the Nippon Mining & Metals group in the Kyushu and Seto Inland Sea areas. The staff at the Branch also engage in shipping agency services, as well as customs clearance and barge operations at Saganoseki Port.
