The Marine & Technical Division provides expertise in the fields of marine technology and ISM to support the Company’s operations as a whole.Nippon Marine has many years of expertise in the design and construction of a wide variety of vessels, including general-purpose cargo ships, dedicated limestone carriers, chemical carriers, dual-purpose bulk materials and chemicals carriers, ordinary container ships, RORO container ships, dual-purpose RORO and general container ships, and vessels for pusher-barge operations.
In addition, our staff also have extensive expertise in the field of cargo handling equipment, as well as in modern labor-saving logistics systems.
We work together with our customers to design solutions for their sea freight transportation needs.
Superintendance in repair dock
In accordance with the regulations set down in the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, Nippon Marine in 1997 obtained a Document of Compliance (DOC), since when we have steadily obtained Safety Management Certificates (SMC) for all our relevant ships. We are also steadily acquiring certification of compatibility with the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) Code.
